Lummis is one of forty schools in CCSD that was chosen for the Life-Changing Teacher Award. In partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, this award is intended to celebrate the incredible impact our Lummis teachers have on students and families every day. Through this initiative, students and families can submit short “Honor Stories” at HonoredSchools.org to recognize Lummis teachers who have made a meaningful difference in their lives. Each story is shared directly with the teacher and added to the school’s national Honor Roll.
On April 15th, 2–6 teachers from the 40 schools, will be selected for the Life-Changing Teacher Award, which includes a $2,000 DonorsChoose classroom credit and a $500 Visa gift card.

The College Football Playoff Foundation, through its community outreach platform Extra Yard for Teachers, partnered with CCSD Community Partnerships and the Las Vegas Bowl Huddle to honor Mrs. B., our cherished kindergarten teacher who passed away on the first day of school. A $50,000 check was donated to Lummis, with an additional $1,000 donated to the kindergarten team.
If your child is vegetarian or has dietary restrictions, please submit in writing to the school nurse for Food Services to prep prior to their lunch time.
